Sareesh Rawat, Esq.

Sareesh Rawat is the founder of TILLIT LAW PLLC, a law firm focused on helping businesses navigate the U.S. federal procurement lifecycle. As a Government Contracts Attorney, Sareesh acts as trusted outside counsel for companies engaged in federal procurement across various sectors, including information systems, technology, defense, aerospace, manufacturing, real estate, logistics, and telecommunications. Sareesh's federal practice includes counseling contractors on federal regulatory matters, including contract administration, compliance, small business programs, and issues related to subcontracting and teaming. Additionally, Sareesh offers legal counsel and services in bid protest and contract claims litigation for businesses of all sizes.

Before founding TILLIT LAW PLLC, Sareesh held senior management positions with successful federal contractors. In these roles, he supported mission-focused solutions and digital transformation efforts for government clients. Sareesh's work played a crucial role in developing proposals and pricing strategies that addressed complex management, technology, and program challenges within the public sector. Sareesh provides thoughtful and reliable legal counsel to businesses in the federal contracts sector, drawing upon his unique experiences and perspectives gained while working with contractors of all sizes, including those experiencing rapid growth. His valuable contributions to the industry have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the APMP Future Leader Award and inclusion on the APMP Global 40 Under 40 list.

Sareesh was one of the first nine individuals at The George Washington University Law School to earn a concentration in public procurement law. Before transferring to GW, Sareesh served as an editor of the American University Washington College of Law Business Law Review. Sareesh has authored over one hundred blog posts and articles that address a wide range of issues encountered throughout the federal procurement lifecycle, including bid protests, contract claims, and compliance with federal statutes and regulations governing contract formation and administration.

In 2024, Maryland Governor Wes Moore appointed Sareesh to the State Public Information Act Compliance Board. The Maryland Senate confirmed Sareesh's appointment to the volunteer board in March 2024. The Board reviews and resolves complaints related to disputes that arise under the Maryland Public Information Act. Sareesh currently serves as the Chair of the State Board. Sareesh also takes pride in his pro bono work, providing pro-bono legal services and support to non-profit organizations, including nationally recognized non-profits. Sareesh has co-chaired the ECLC pro bono subcommittee at the DC Bar. He regularly represents veterans in their appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims on a pro bono basis.
